Microscopie électronique sur le vivant

Cet article de Wired est allucinant! Pouvoir observer avec un microscope électronique des organismes, des tissus, des cellules toujours vivantes. C'est un outil incroyable.

Hariyama says this scale should be no problem for NanoSuit. If true, this would allow people to see, in three dimensions, everything from genome transcription to the progression of cancerous tissue. With the FM-SEM’s level of resolution, these real-time views could lead to new and better treatments.

Ma nouvelle chanson préférée?

This was a triumph.

It's hard to overstate my satisfaction.

But there's no sense crying over every mistake.
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.
And the Science gets done.
And you make a neat gun.
For the people who are still alive.
I'm not even angry.
I'm being so sincere right now.
Even though you broke my heart.
And killed me.
And tore me to pieces.
And threw every piece into a fire.
As they burned it hurt because I was so happy for you!
Now these points of data make a beautiful line.
And we're out of beta.
We're releasing on time.
So I'm GLaD. I got burned.
Think of all the things we learned
for the people who are still alive.
Go ahead and leave me.
I think I prefer to stay inside.

Voici un domaine qui me semble vraiment très intéressant!
Mechanism design (sometimes called reverse game theory) is a field in game theory studying solution concepts for a class of private information games. Leonid Hurwicz explains that 'in a design problem, the goal function is the main “given,” while the mechanism is the unknown. Therefore, the design problem is the “inverse” of traditional economic theory, which is typically devoted to the analysis of the performance of a given mechanism.'[1] So, two distinguishing features of these games are: that a game "designer" chooses the game structure rather than inheriting one that the designer is interested in the game's outcome
